An "Olympic Forest" Is Being Planted To Lower The Carbon Emissions of The Olympic Games
The International Olympic Committee is planting 355,000 native trees in Mali and Senegal to meet their goal of curbing their emissions by 30% in 2024. In addition to sequestering CO2, the initiative will increase the availability of local food in the surrounding area and create economic opportunities within the agroforestry industry.
