Portland, OR – August 23, 2013 – Bambu today announced it has signed on as a sponsor of the Green Sports Alliance Summit, to be held August 26-28 in New York City, according to Bambu president Jeff Delkin.

The Green Sports Alliance Summit, which will be hosted at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, brings together 500 industry stakeholders to learn from more than 80 leaders at the forefront of the sports greening movement, and provides a platform engage their peers in meaningful dialogue around best practices and applied solutions.
One of the Summit lunches will be served fully on Bambu’s Veneerware compostable, certified organic bamboo plates. “Our Veneerware is particularly well-suited to dining and entertaining in the suites of many of the venues,” Delkin said. “And we are also presenting sports-themed products to introduce the attendees to the Bambu brand as a whole.”
The 2013 program covers the day’s most critical topics in professional and collegiate sports greening via a dynamic mix of workshops, industry roundtables, leadership plenaries, keynotes, professional trainings and venue tours. Featured keynote and plenary speakers include Pittsburgh Pirates board chairman Bob Nutting, Boston Bruins defenseman and Stanley Cup champion Andrew Ference, and AEG global sustainability director Jennifer Regan, among other notable figures.
