As many of our readers and customers know, Rachel and Jeff, the owners of bambu spend a good chunk of time in China. The company maintains their development and production base in Shanghai. And work from their design studio in Shanghai, China. We have created an open work space and studio in the French Concession where our team of five work. We all either walk or take public transport to work.

bambu was one of dozens of brands participating in this year's ECO DESIGN FAIR in early June. This was the 9th fair for Eco Design Fair and bambu was there at the beginning.
This year's fair included four floors of exhibitors, workshops, fashion and beauty, and lots of good food. Our small booth was in a great location bathed in natural light. We showcased our full range with special emphasis on our new reclaimed cedar collection.
Over the course of the three days, we connected with old friends, and made new friends and customers among the many people who came to visit the Eco Design Fair.
Like customers anywhere, Chinese customers are attracted to the design of bambu products. And like conscientious customers concerned for the well-being of themselves and their families, they appreciate that bambu products are certified organic, and that we do not use coatings or lacquers on our products. Made safe and natural is our credo, and it appeals to people everywhere.
Among the most popular products were our bamboo sporks, bamboo cutting boards and natural organic baby products. We are making plans for our next pop-up events later in the summer.
