US tour - first stop, Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon, aka Bridgetown

We’ve landed in our birthplace, where we schooled, and where our friends and family call home. It’s good to be back home.
Portland is a special place. We arrived under blue skies and clean air.

We dropped in on the Portland Farmer’s Market Saturday morning where the Park blocks were filled with farmers, bakers, fisherpeople, cheese makers, nut growers, beekeepers, meat curers, and bumper to bumper Portlanders filling bags and baskets with the bountiful goodness of the Pacific Northwest.

The weeks offering from ‘The Tart Lady’ and extraordinary array of sweet and savory tarts, cookies and cakes.

We picnicked at Ponzi Vineyards, home of the world-class Pinot Noir just 20 minutes outside of Portland, and sampled a bottle of the 2005. Portland is ‘proudly made’

It’s good to be back home.

Next stop, road trip to Seattle. Then onto Las Vegas for the Gourmet Housewares Show.
